Safeguarding at Adventure Wellbeing School

At Adventure Wellbeing School, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. We are fully committed to ensuring all our pupils are safe, happy, and well cared for both in and out of school.

If you ever have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, it’s important to act immediately using the information below.

Safer Recruitment

We make sure everyone who works in our school, including staff, volunteers and contractors, is safe and suitable to work with children.

Our recruitment follows Department for Education guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). Everyone involved in recruiting staff has completed Safer Recruitment training.

Our Safer Recruitment Policy is available from the school office on request.

Whistleblowing

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Any member of staff, volunteer or proprietor with a concern about an adult working with children must report it to the school’s leadership.

Concerns can be raised in person or in writing, and are handled sensitively and in confidence.

Allegations against staff, volunteers or the proprietor are handled under our allegations procedure and referred to the Cheshire West and Chester Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
