Our School

About Us

A wellbeing school, and what that means every day.

Aims and ethos

A wellbeing school

We combine academic ambition with compassionate care. Our curriculum is adapted and accessible, with therapy, sensory support and emotional regulation built into each child’s day.

Trusting relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We celebrate every kind of progress, from reading a first word to making a new friend, and we value pupil voice, family partnership and staff expertise equally.

Through the range of activities on offer, and within the curriculum, pupils learn to value what makes them unique and special.

Mission and vision

Our mission

We provide an inclusive, nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive. Through a carefully planned curriculum and strong pastoral support, we help children achieve academically and grow personally, with a strong focus on physical and mental wellbeing, in keeping with our motto, Active Bodies, Curious Minds.

Our vision

We want every child to have a high-quality, personalised education that builds a lifelong love of learning. We aim to develop resilient, confident young people, ready to face the future with purpose and self-belief.

What we stand for

School Values

Inclusivity

We celebrate diversity so every pupil feels valued, respected and fully included, whatever their abilities, background or experiences.

Compassion

Kindness and understanding shape every interaction, building a community where everyone can thrive.

Empowerment

We build confidence, independence and resilience so pupils can pursue their goals and contribute to their community.

Respect

We honour every person’s dignity, so every voice is heard and everyone feels safe and valued.

Mental health and wellbeing

Wellbeing you can measure

Every child’s wellbeing is tracked in our Wellbeing Portal, overseen by educational psychologists. Support is planned from this evidence, so we can see what is working.
