How we make sure every child and family can take part, and how accessible this website is.
Our commitment to equality
Every pupil at Adventure Wellbeing School has the same right to take part in everything this school offers, whatever their age, ability, disability, background, religion, gender or sexuality. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation of anyone, whether a child, a family or a member of staff.
Every child at Adventure Wellbeing School has additional needs. Making adjustments is not an exception here. It is the ordinary business of the school.
If something is getting in your child’s way
Tell us. Adjustments are easiest to make early, and we would far rather hear about a problem than have a child struggle quietly. Contact head@awschools.com.
Accessibility plan
Under the Equality Act 2010 we maintain an accessibility plan covering three areas:
- Curriculum access: increasing how far disabled pupils can take part in what we teach.
- The physical environment: improving the building and grounds so disabled pupils can use everything we offer.
- Information: providing information to disabled pupils in ways they can actually use.
Our accessibility plan is available from the school office on request.
